Michael Bay Considering Self-Finance of His Own Horror Movie

Michael Bay has long had the reputation of making big budget bombastic blockbuster movies, and lord knows he’s certainly made enough of them to be known for them. With Pain and Gain, however, he proved that there’s some soul amongst the explosives.
In a recent article by The Hollywood Reporter highlighting 20 of today’s “masters of horror,” Bay, whose Platinum Dunes company has remade several classic horror films with varying degrees of success, revealed a tasty tidbit of info. “I have a great fantasy — that I will probably make a reality — of directing my own self-financed horror movie,” said Bay, adding, “I love this genre because the movie is the star.”
