Hey, wait a second. Didn’t James Wan say that he was done making horror films and Insidious: Chapter 2 was going to be his last? Well, that still appears to be the plan. But we’ll be seeing his name attached to at least one more horror flick headed our way next year.
There’s been a project listed on Wan’s IMDb page for a while now that bears the title (or lack thereof) “Untitled James Wan Thriller,” aka House of Horror, and the website Desde Hollywood broke the news today that the movie has finally been given a proper name. Currently in post-production, the film will be called Demonic, and you can expect to find the words “James Wan Presents” attached to that title.
Written by Will Canon, Doug Simon, and Max La Bella and directed by Canon, Demonic was produced by Wan and is based on a story he wrote. Attached stars include Maria Bello, Frank Grillo, Cody Horn, Scott Mechlowicz, Aaron Yoo, Megan Park, and Dustin Milligan. No release date has been set.
Check out the plot crunch below, and expect more soon!
Demonic takes place after the massacre of five college students in an abandoned house. As investigators begin to unravel the murders, they uncover clues to what began as an innocent ghost-hunting excursion but eventually turned into a terrifying escapade involving the house itself.
