Though we’re still unsure whether or not Will Smith will return for ID Forever, a two-part affair that will serve as a sequel to Independence Day, we do know that Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum are on board to reprise their roles.
And that’s about all we know for now.
Though nothing is set in stone at the moment, The Wrap reports today that Michael B. Jordan is being eyed for a major role in the film. The star of shows like “The Wire” and “Friday Night Lights” is apparently well liked by Fox, and he’s found himself high up on their list after a meeting with director Roland Emmerich.
It’s unclear what part Jordan is being considered for, and neither Fox nor Emmerich has commented on these reports.
We’ll be sure to let you know more as we learn more.
The release of ID Forever: Part 1 is currently set for July 3, 2015. Mark your calendars!
