Man, is that all Americans are good for nowadays, traveling abroad and getting in mischief? If the movies are to be believed (and why wouldn’t they?), that is certainly the case.
The latest example is a film from Working Title Films called Gone, a new “thriller” about a British couple traveling through the Australian Outback who allow a charismatic American to join up with them and all the problems that ensue because of it. People begin to disappear, and slowly the American’s secrets float to the surface.
It seems like a decent enough concept; as long as the tension is kept ratcheted tight enough throughout, it could be a fun ride. Check out the film’s trailer right here for a better feel for it. Gone is set for a UK release in December; no word yet on when it’ll hit the States.
