TIFF 2013: Blanc/Biehn Productions Gets the Green Light for Altered PerceptionJennifer Blanc-Biehn and her husband, Michael Biehn, have been pretty damn busy the past few years, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Read on for details about their next project, Altered Perception, which will begin production later this year!

From the Press Release
Following her appearance at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), actress-producer-director Jennifer Blanc-Biehn announced that Altered Perception was greenlit for production in November by Blanc/Biehn Productions and Small Red Star Productions with the support of Lony Ruhmann’s new model of filmmaking.

Altered Perception is a fast-paced sci-fi thriller that follows four couples as they embark on a clinical trial of a new medication that is designed to help users move past traumatic experiences by altering their perception. As the couples continue their treatment, they begin to question and doubt their memories and eventually their sanity.

“I am so happy with the positive reception our films received at TIFF and can’t wait to get started on Altered Perception,” said Jennifer Blanc-Biehn. “This is a unique storyline that will resonate with many viewers because of the quick-fix mentality of our characters and the science behind pharmaceuticals and government involvement.” Blanc-Biehn will produce this out of her company with husband Michael Biehn; also producing are Danielle Artigo and Lony Ruhmann. Travis Romero (“White Collar”) will team with Blanc/Biehn Productions again (they previously worked on Treachery together) and pen the script.

Casting has begun, and so far the film stars Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, Chris Meyer, Hallie Jordan, Matthew Ziff, Nichola Fynn, and Christopher Backus with more in process. The film will be directed by Kate Rees Davies with musical composition by Randy Chance (Treachery, The Girl, The Night Visitor).
