Back in June the first Death Note movie was released in Japan to great critical review and did some serious work at the box office. From the outset the plan was to release the film in two parts, and the second half is getting ready to unspool on November 3rd.
Death Note is based on the popular anime of the same name, telling the story of a student who discovers a very special notebook; anyone whose name is written in the book will die, effectively giving this one kid power over everyone’s lives. The boys at Twitch Film found the trailer for Death Note: The Last Name online, but we should warn you that it does contain spoilers so if you’ve not seen the first one yet, you might want to avoid this for now.
