Well, we certainly didn’t see this coming! One of the original scream queens, Jamie Lee Curtis, is possibly heading to TV in a project helmed by her Halloween H20 director, Steve Miner. Read on for the details!
Per Deadline, ABC Family has closed a deal for a high-profile horror spec script by writer Jeff Dixon, which has Jamie Lee Curtis attached to star and Steve Miner to direct and executive produce if the project goes to pilot. While the project has not yet been greenlit, it is being put on a fast track.
Titled “The Final Girls,” the series will revolve around a group of girls who have, in essence, survived their own personal horror stories and are brought together by a mysterious older woman (Curtis) to channel the stress and scars of their experience for some greater good.
If it’s a “go,” “The Final Girls” would mark Curtis’ first series regular role since 1989’s “Anything But Love.”
