Before making films like The Howling and Gremlins, a young Joe Dante worked for Roger Corman, whom he credits as one of the biggest influences on his career. And now it’s looking like his career is about to come full circle.
Screen Daily reports that Joe Dante will be directing a long talked about biopic about the life and career of his friend and mentor, titled The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes. Billed as a comedy, the film will be set in Hollywood in the late 1960s, and Corman (pictured) will appear in a cameo as himself.
The film will be financed through European sources and produced by SBS Productions.
