Howdy, folks. A while ago I was asked to moderate a Friday the 13th community on a social media platform called Kumbuya, a venture between the company and Warner Bros. designed to get fans of the franchise together and give ’em a place to hang out and talk about the movies.
I of course immediately jumped on the opportunity, and in the past month we’ve built up a community that’s 300 members strong and growing every day.
This Friday night, in celebration of Friday the 13th, I’m hosting a live chat-along session in the Friday the 13th Kumbuya community, where anyone interested is invited to gather together in the chatroom and watch my favorite installment, The Final Chapter. The idea is that we’ll gather in there and then hit the play button on the DVD/Blu-ray at the same time, chatting along as we watch the movie.
The fun kicks off at 8pm ET/5pm PT on Friday, September 13th, in the chatroom, which you’ll find in the lower right-hand corner of the community page. I hope you’ll join me, and feel free to pop in even if you don’t own a copy of the movie!
Also want to mention that I’m giving away a copy of the Friday the 13th: The Complete Collection Blu-ray set in the community so be sure to head over there to find out how you can get yourself three entries into the giveaway. Deadline for all entries is Friday night, September 20th.
