Warner Brothers is moving forward with its latest visit to The Twilight Zone as Variety is reporting that “The River,” “Heroes” and “Crossing Jordan” scribe Aron Eli Coleite has been hired to pen the sceenplay for the sci-fi tentpole.
It was announced last week that Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski is being courted to take the helm. No movement yet on that development.
Unlike the 1983 feature that had four separate storylines, this film will have one story that features elements from the “Twilight Zone” universe made popular by Rod Serling’s classic TV series. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Michael Ireland will produce for Appian Way.
More as it comes.
