At last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, we learned that during Season 2 of “The Following” we’ll be meeting Ryan Hardy’s niece, and now we know who’ll be playing her – along with two more new female cast members.
Per EW, “90210” star Jessica Stroup (pictured right) will portray Max, the niece of Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon). She’s an NYPD cop who currently works in the Intel Division. Max reconnects with Ryan, and she becomes a valuable ally.
Another new hire on the show is Tiffany Boone (below left; Beautiful Creatures), who will play Mandy, an impressionable young girl who finds herself to be the newest cult member following Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) — whether she likes it or not.
Lastly, E! Online reported a few days ago that Valerie Cruz (below right; “Homeland,” “Dexter”) will take on the role of NYPD detective Gina Mendez, who will work closely with Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) and the FBI when a new murder spree hits the city. Described as “hard as nails,” Detective Mendez will first appear in the Season 2 premiere, which picks up a year after the events of the finale.
These three ladies joins the previously announced new cast members Sam Underwood, James McDaniel, and Connie Nielsen along with the returning Kevin Bacon, Valorie Curry, Shawn Ashmore, and James Purefoy.
