New Threats Arrive in this Sneak Peek of Siberia Ep. 1.06 - Out of the Frying Pan; Synopses for Eps. 1.07 and 1.08Its ratings aren’t good (most people I know haven’t even heard of it), but “Siberia” is a guilty pleasure for a few DC staffers; if you’re “one of us,” check out some stills and videos from Ep. 1.06, “Out of the Frying Pan.”

We also have the synopses for upcoming Episodes 1.07 and 1.08, “First Snow” and “A Gathering Fog,” respectively, airing August 19th and 26th. Saying that things don’t look too good for our remaining contestants would be a serious understatement.

“Siberia” Episode 1.06 – “Out of the Frying Pan” (airs 8/12/13; 10-11 PM)
AN ABANDONED, RANSACKED AND BLOODY PRODUCERS’ BASECAMP UNNERVES SOME CONTESTANTS WHILE OTHERS BECOME UNHINGED AT THE PROSPECT OF BEING LEFT ALONE – When Johnny (Johnny Wactor), Joyce (Joyce Giraud) and Daniel (Daniel David Sutton) return with news of the bloody scene left behind at the abandoned producers’ basecamp, Esther (Esther Anderson) is the object of an angry verbal attack by all the others who now fear for their lives alone in the wilderness. Sam (Sam Dobbins) finds and keeps Miljan’s (Miljan Milosevic) century-old Russian diary and reads aloud about a violent tribe of “Valleymen” feared by the original settlers and who still may be stalking the Siberian contestants; and a mysterious radio tower beacon appears in the distance, promising hope of salvation. Also starring Jonathon Buckley (host), Neeko O.J. Skervin, Irene Yee, Sabina Akhmedova and Natalie Ann Scheetz.

“Siberia” Episode 1.07 – “First Snow” (airs 8/19/13; 10-11 PM)
WORSENING CIRCUMSTANCES AND WEATHER CREATE DIMINISHING CHANCES FOR SURVIVAL OR RESCUE – Plunging temperatures and withering hope push some of the contestants to the edge of sanity, requiring one to be tied down while another’s life hangs in the balance. The group hiking out toward the beacon faces death amid the treacherous cold, while the others search the abandoned and bloody producers’ camp, yielding some desperately needed food and clothing. But the joy is short-lived as the reality of an early winter sets in with the contestants now split into two groups, each not knowing the fate of the other. Starring Joyce Giraud, Johnny Wactor, Sam Dobbins, Daniel David Sutton, Neeko O.J. Skervin, Irene Yee, Esther Anderson, Miljan Milosevic, Sabina Akhmedova, Anne-Marie Mueschke and Jonathon Buckley (host).

“Siberia” Episode 1.08 – “A Gathering Fog” (airs 8/26/13; 10-11 PM)
SOME CONTESTANTS ARE MISSING AND SOME ARE PRESUMED DEAD AS A FAST-MOVING, THICK FOG ENVELOPES THE LAND – With the sudden and mysterious disappearance of some contestants, and those remaining split into two groups to find help or rescue, natural and supernatural elements combine to heighten their fear, anger and desperation. Joyce (Joyce Giraud), Johnny (John Wactor), Sam (Sam Dobbins) and Daniel (Daniel David Sutton) continue a not-so-steady course toward a beacon that seems to have vanished. Meanwhile, freezing temperatures and near zero visibility, a result of the thick fog, put their lives in peril. Elsewhere, the other contestants left at the camp make a grisly and horrifying discovery. Also starring Jonathon Buckley (host), Irene Yee, Anne-Marie Mueschke, Sabina Akhmedova, Esther Anderson, Neeko O.J. Skervin and Miljan Milosevic.

I’m still enjoying this. If you can get past the flaws in the concept, its an interesting little story.
