Since the war in Iraq has been going on, I’m sure we all know someone who’s been affected by it, either by seeing a friend or family member shipped off to the frontline or something far worse.
We recently learned that a friend of the site, PFC David Tavis English, was wounded in a recent suicide bombing in Baghdad, an attack that took the lives of two other soldiers. English suffered from shrapnel in his lungs and will receive a Purple Heart for his actions after the attack.
I know this may seem out of place for the rest of the site, but English was a close friend and crewmember to the filmmakers behind the serial zombie story Dead, which was created by the same team who did the recent Dread Central werewolf promo, and we felt some recognition was deserved for his willingness to serve our country.
