Dark Sky Films opens Richard Raaphorst’s Frankenstein’s Army in select cities and on VOD TODAY, July 26th. It was written by Miguel Tejada-Flores (Revenge of the Nerds, Screamers) and stars Karl Roden.

In the waning days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy’s Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying.

It took the death of his family for Marc Abel to join the SS, but it was Viktor Frankenstein who found the man’s true worth. Stealing him away from the front lines, Viktor and Marc set about on the gory task of robbing mass graves to feed the mad doctor’s ever-growing army of the undead. But when one of the doctor’s creations tore out Abel’s throat, Viktor turned his trusted associate into one of his legion – the skull-crushing zombot known as Razor Teeth.
