Elvira Returns to Knott's Scary Farm Haunt for 2013; Mazes and Attractions Announced! With SoCal competitor Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights having announced its first maze for 2013 (Evil Dead), Buena Park, California’s Knott’s Scary Farm has released the 411 on the park’s 41st annual Haunt. Read on for the details!

Commencing September 26th and running on selected evenings through November 2nd, Knott’s Scary Farm (Knott’s Berry Farm, 8039 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, CA) will welcome the return of horror celebrity Elvira, Mistress of the Dark via her song, dance and comedy show “Evira’s Sinema Séance.”

Additional new attractions will include the magic-comedy show “Carny Trash” and the murder mystery “Possessed,” along with Knott’s Scary staples “Cursed,” “Blood Drums” and “The Hanging,” all of which will return. The biggest shake-up lies in their approach to the park’s mazes, however.

Scaling down the number to twelve from thirteen (perhaps with an eye to increase the quality of each maze), this year the Haunt will also offer six all new attractions: “Forevermore” (which will feature a Gothic serial killer theme inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe), “Black Magic” (the ghost of Harry Houdini will conspire to scare park visitors), “The Gunslinger’s Grave” (an Old West, undead gunman returns from the grave to exact his revenge), “Mirror Mirror” (steampunk meets a funhouse), “Trapped: The New Experiment” (the popular, puzzle-solving, reservation-only maze returns with an update) and “Dominion of the Damned” (which will presumably feature vampires, vampires, more vampires, and plenty of Gothic goodness).

Rounding out these mazes will be the return of “Endgames: Warriors of the Apocalypse,” “Pinocchio Unstrung,” “Trick-Or-Treat,” “The Witch’s Keep,” “Uncle Willy’s Slaugherhouse” and “Delirium.” Further, Knott’s Scary Farm will feature the scare zones “Village of the Damned,” “Necropolis,” “Carnevil” and “Ghost Town,” all which will serve to keep visitors on their toes.

For more information and to purchase tickets (which are now on sale) visit the Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt website, and for those in SoCal who may be interested in joining the Knott’s team as a scare actor, auditions are being held Saturday, July 27th, from 2PM to 7PM.
