Chase Williamson To Join The Guest

One of the stars of Don Coscarelli’s John Dies at the End, Chase Williamson, has joined the cast of the new flick from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett (V/H/S, V/H/S/2, You’re Next, A Horrible Way to Die), entitled The Guest. Read on for details.

He joins the previously announced Lance Reddick, Brendan Meyer, Dan Stevens and Maika Monroe in the film. Stevens (“Downton Abbey”) stars as David, an ex-Marine who returns from a tour of duty and is taken in by a fallen comrade’s family, whom he proceeds to terrorize. As the female lead, Monroe will seek to protect her family from David’s cold-blooded wrath. Meyer will play Monroe’s younger brother, while Reddick will play a government agent aware of David’s medical history who sets out to stop his violent rampage.

Adam Wingard will direct from a script by Simon Barrett, while Keith Calder and Jessica Wu will produce via Snoot Entertainment. Production starts this summer.
