Nightscape Revving Up Production! First Trailer and Teaser Posters!

The early trailer for Nightscape paints a surreal picture of a world not quite in line with reality. Oozing, pulsating pods house unspeakable creatures in various stages of metamorphosis while death hides in plain sight. What appears to be peaceful and at rest is actually being victimized. An impressive feast for the eyes, and that's just the teaser!

Those of you in the Portland area may have lost the Trailblazers, but you have the honorable designation of being the primary filming location for this unique new film. David W. Edwards, the film's writer and director, is preparing to begin filming Nightscape on July 27.

From the Press Release
Independent film production house Imperiad Entertainment announced today that principal photography will begin on July 27 for its first feature, the supernatural thriller Nightscape. Filming will take place primarily in and around the Portland area.

In Nightscape, an emotionally guarded drifter crosses paths with a phantom car responsible for a wave of supernatural violence. The drifter must learn to trust again if she is to end a lifetime of bad luck and to help her newfound companions survive the growing chaos and carnage. The film's writer and director, David W. Edwards, describes it as "a smart supernatural thriller that combines action-adventure with compelling drama and surreal, Lovecraftian horror."

Imperiad Entertainment has tapped an impressive team for its first production. AJ Gordon (The Truth) will produce the film, aided by first associate producer, Keith CA Jones (The Runaways). Other notable production team members include Patrick Neary as director of photography (Calvin Marshall); up-and-coming makeup and mechanical effects supervisor Christina Kortum (Shiver); veteran stunt supervisor William (Bill) Boggs (Book of Eli); art director Greg Gilbert (A Relative Thing); prop fabricator Tyler B. Robinson (Wake Before I Die); editor Ben Meader (Brutal Beauty); sound designer Jason T. Edwards (NBC's The Cape); and composer John Askew (Calvin Marshall).

Writer-director Edwards attended the University of Southern California's prestigious screenwriting program and has worked in creative affairs for a number of Hollywood production companies. Edwards is writing a tie-in book comprised of a novella and six short stories for publication prior to the film's release.
