That’s right, kids! Settle in. We’ve got tons of Film4 FrightFest coverage coming at you, and it starts right here, right now with a brand new image from the Israeli slasher film Rabies aka Kalevet.

Image Entertainment has snapped up U.S. rights to Israeli horror film Rabies from XYZ Films, and Mongrel Media has nabbed Canadian rights to the pic, which is the directorial debut of Navot Papushado and Aharon Keshales, who also penned the script.

The actors who were chosen to play murderers and murderees are all A-list Israeli actors such as Ofer Shechter, Ania Buckshtein, and Lior Ashkenazi. Check out the official Kalevet website here.

Synopsis:
A psychotic serial killer on the loose in the woods crosses paths with a group of unsuspecting teenagers. Soon people are dying one by one… but the bad guy isn’t who you think. Turning genre conventions on their head with a smart script and plenty of unexpected scares, Rabies is a surprising debut worthy of its mantle as Israel’s first-ever slasher horror film.
