Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman Violated in Trespass

Nicolas Cage, TrespassOh, Nicolas Cage. How much do we love thee? Seriously, he's become one of our favorite actors here around the Dread Central offices so when news breaks of him in a new genre film, it immediately gets our attention!

According to Variety, Millennium Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to Joel Schumacher's thriller Trespass, starring Nicolas Cage, his hair, Nicole Kidman, Ben Mendelsohn, Cam Gigandet and Liana Liberato for a fall release.

Karl Gajdusek wrote the screenplay for Trespass for the Nu Image/Millennium Films project, produced by Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Danny Dimbort, Irwin Winkler, David Winkler, Boaz Davidson, Rene Besson, and Matthew F. Leonetti, Jr.

The story centers on a man who has everything -- a beautiful wife, a teenage daughter, a lavish estate -- and is confronted with the reality of losing it all when he and his family become the victims of a vicious home invasion.

Look for more on this one hopefully ASAP!

Personally I'm sick to death of Cage's generic 'hi, i'm quirky' acting style. He has never helped to create an iconic character and much of the time his work detracts from enjoyment of the films he's in.

A perfect example is 'Ghost Rider'. He has no respect for the source material and created an unwatchable Johnny Blaze. I dread his 'quirky' attempts to screw up the sequel.

The truth is this is a man who needs money and will take any job, do it half assed and call it a day.

Really? You're resting all of Ghost Rider's failures solely on Cage's shoulders? Have you forgotten who wrote and directed Ghost Rider? Mark S. Johnson. You know, the guy who gave us flops such as Daredevil and Elektra. He's one of the worst writers/directors working in Hollywood as of late. He's right up there on the shit scale with Paul W.S. Anderson. How can any actor do his character justice when his only defining traits are that he likes jelly beans and animal videos?!
