Dread Central Presents: The East Coast Premiere of Tim Sullivan's I Was a Teenage Werebear
Round these parts there are few movies we're looking forward to more than the upcoming anthology flick Chillerama, and if you're on the East Coast on Saturday, July 9th, you get to be one of the lucky few to dig on Tim Sullivan's segment "I Was a Teenage Werebear" early!
We'll let the man himself tell you all about it! ...
"HEY DREAD HEADS!
We're doing it again! YES, we had such a blast last summer with Dread's very own Paul Nomad at the Metuchen, New Jersey premiere of FIELD OF SCREAMS, that I'm coming home AGAIN!
As you may or may not know, I grew up in a little Jersey suburb called Metuchen which had this old school movie theater called The Forum. I used to go there every weekend and see the films that would inspire the movies I grew up to make. So to be able to return to the Forum (now run by my pal Peter Loewy) and actually show my own flick- a dream come true. This time, the dream truly hits a bulls eye as EVERYONE who knew me back then knew what a KISS freak I was, and still am. And so, in addition to premiering I WAS A TEENAGE WEREBEAR, my segment of my upcoming flick CHILLERAMA (produced with my partners in creative crime, Adam Rifkin, Adam Green & Joe Lynch), I'll be showing DETROIT ROCK CITY! This is especially cool, cuz it was while making DRC that Adam Rifkin and I first conceived the idea of CHILLERAMA- so it is quite fitting that 13 years later, Paul Nomad and Dread Central will be presenting WEREBEAR and DRC on a double bill.
I'll also be showing trailers from my other flicks- and ya never know who might show up! So I hope to see you East Coasters there.
And to the guy who said "You Can't Go Home Again?" Um... WRONG!
