Postive World War Z Buzz Feasts on the Flesh of the Past NegativityWorld War Z has begun screening across the United States, and given all the negative buzz surrounding the movie’s trials and tribulations, you may find yourself pretty damned surprised at the reactions Hollywood, fans, and critics are having!

In the film Brad Pitt plays a U.N. employee racing against time and fate as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly zombie pandemic, and his Plan B shingle is producing. Mireille Enos (“Big Love”, “The Killing”) plays his wife, a mother of two girls. Their co-stars include Eric West, Matthew Fox, David Morse, and James Badge Dale.

  1. “solid”
    “effective”
    “not a zombie fan”
    “captured much of the flavor”
    “entertaining”

Katie Couric? Deborah Norville? Well with all that glowing praise and such luminary horror experts commenting, how could it possibly be bad? Give me a break!

  2. Sounds like a bunch of Hollywood ass kissers to me doubt they are hard core horror fans so what do their opinion’s mean? i will hold judgement until i see it the PG13 rating has no balls!!!

  3. I’m still curious about the film; while yes the PG-13 rating is a letdown ultimately the question is ‘is the story interesting and told dynamically?’

Blood and gore is nice; but it’s really only secondary to the story. I rather watch a film with a solid story with little blood/gore vs a film with no story and lots of blood and gore.

  4. I go to see zombie films with gore, not idiotic CGI spectacle. I don’t care how many critics eat up this movie, I’m not going to endorse a nutless zombie picture with my money.

  5. My expectations are zero, I don’t care what positive buzz is starting to circulate. I LOATHE the way the zombies move like ants on crack, I hate the fact it’s Brad Pitt and his picture perfect family that has no chance what-so-ever of dying, and most of all, I dislike almost every blood-less PG-13 piece of shit ever created.

I’ll only see this if I run out of options on my Friday movie day.
