From the Press Release
Uncork’d Entertainment and VIVA Pictures announce the acquisition of U.S. rights to the dark psychological thriller Cold Blooded from Guildwood Entertainment. Cold Blooded was written and directed by Jason Lapeyre. Uncork’d Entertainment’s Keith Leopard and VIVA Pictures’ Victor Elizalde made the announcement today fresh from the Festival du Cannes.

“Cold Blooded had us mesmerized from the first scene,” commented Leopard. “There are so many layers of suspense and surprise in this film that promise to keep viewers holding their collective breath.”

“As proven by its award at Fantasia and selection at Fantastic Fest, Cold Blooded is an audience pleasure,” stated Jason Moring, President of Double Dutch International. “Keith and Victor have shown incredible enthusiasm for the film, and when paired with their vast experience, I’m confident Cold Blooded will reach the mass audience it deserves.”

Starring Ryan Robbins (“Sanctuary,” Walking Tall), Zoie Palmer (“Lost Girl,” Devil), and William MacDonald (“The Phantoms,” “The LA Complex”), Cold Blooded spins the tightly-wound tale of a female police officer assigned to keep a dangerous prisoner from escaping a nearly abandoned hospital unit. At the same time, his virulent criminal partners are coming to get him. “To Serve and Protect” becomes a life and death struggle as the officer and her charge must work together for their own survival.

The distribution deal covers U.S. rights for theatrical, VOD, home entertainment, and digital.
