A Long Wait Ahead for Ghostbusters 3?

Who you gonna call? Franklin Delano Roosevelt?!? Yep, it looks as if yet another Bill Murray related bump has appeared on the ever-so-long road to Ghostbusters 3. It seems the actor would much rather spend his time chillin’ in Hyde Park on the Hudson than chasing around pesky specters.
Deadline reports that Murray is being courted to play Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the Roger Michell-directed Hyde Park on the Hudson, a film set up at Focus Features and Film Four with a script by Richard Nelson. Like Ghostbusters 3, should Murray agree to do it, it would immediately get the green light.
If that happens? Well, let’s just say eager fans can put their proton packs back in storage. Sigh.
As of press time Murray hasn’t contacted the studio to tell them if he’s even read the ‘busters script by “The Office” writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky that was delivered to him at the beginning of the year. I mean, why should he do a thing like that?
