Tobe Hooper's Djinn Casts Up

With Tobe Hooper's Djinn now officially on its way, two more actors have joined the film's growing cast of potential victims for the ancient evil that awaits our wishes!

According to Variety both Khalid Laith (The Devil's Double) and Razane Jammal (Carlos) have joined the cast of Imagenation Abu Dhabi's sophomore local production Djinn.

The film is set in 2015 and follows the story of Khaled and Salama, a couple who return home from America to discover that their apartment in a luxury high-rise, built on the site of a deserted fishing village, is also home to malevolent beings known as Djinns.

As always no one is allowed to mention the word "djinn" while on set out of respect and because it is thought that speaking the name could conjure one up.

So they're making a move about Djinn but can't say Djinn? That's truly retarded.

I'm still cheering for this one, Hooper with a budget is a wonderful thing.

P.S. Where's my blu of Lifeforce, damnit?

A budget? Since when do movies with budgets start shooting without the casting completed? This is just gonna be another Mortuary. Hooper hasn't made anything good since the mid 80s.

I really enjoyed The Toolbox Murders. The truth is even Hooper's half assed flicks (and there are a few) are usually easily watchable.
