Last summer we learned that Christopher Rice would be releasing The Heavens Rise, his first supernatural novel, this year, and now we have more details on the story’s synopsis, artwork, and release date.
Christopher, son of author Anne Rice and her late husband, poet Stan Rice, who is already a bestselling writer with five novels (mostly thrillers) to his credit, posted the following synopsis and excerpt on the website for his Internet comedy variety series The Dinner Party Show:
Synopsis:

Deep in the swamps outside of New Orleans, Niquette Delongpre and her family uncover a well on their property—a well that has roots all the way down into the soils of the Mississippi River. A well that brings ancient things to the surface—things that should have stayed buried.
When Niquette is exposed to a small parasite, it triggers in her mysterious and dangerous powers.
