Attention New Zealanders - Support Evil Dead This Weekend and Be Rewarded With Additional ScreeningsHey, Kiwis! You were originally going to have to wait until August to get to see Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead remake in New Zealand. But happy, happy, happy… We got word that Sony Pictures heard your cries and has granted you a three-theater limited release this weekend.

However, there’s more…

Our New Zealand contact, Craig Sutcliffe, reported the good news to us about the Evil Dead screenings but also says promotion for the shows has been very limited. Read on for the details as to where and when you can see Evil Dead in New Zealand this weekend and let Sony Pictures know you want more screenings!

From the Press Release
Evil Dead is set for a limited run in Wellington from April 19th and in Auckland from April 25th in select cinemas: The Embassy in Wellington, Event Cinemas Queen Street in Auckland, and Hoyts Sylvia Park in Auckland. Tickets have gone on sale for Queen Street and Hoyts are still a little screwy with dates, but it seems they are selling some sessions. The Embassy tickets are on sale. Tickets for Evil Dead can be purchased here, and each ticket sold is a message to Sony Pictures that New Zealand supports Evil Dead!
