Though Tommy Wirkola’s Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters didn’t exactly light the box office on fire here in the States (it raked in just $54 million domestically), the flick did big business elsewhere, earning $151 million overseas, bringing its total box office to $205 million worldwide. You know what that means.
Deadline is reporting that a sequel to the flick is on its way courtesy of Paramount and MGM. No word yet on whether or not Wirkola or stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton will be coming back for more, but we hope that this next flick has more Derek Mears. You can never have too much after all.
