This weekend the New Beverly Cinema, in partnership with Horror Movie a Day, will feature a 35mm screening of Final Destination 2 as part of its ongoing midnight series. It’s the tenth anniversary of the popular horror sequel, which is regarded by many fans as the best in the franchise.

The screening is tomorrow night, March 16th, at 11:59 PM.

But there’s more! The film’s writer, Eric Bress, will be in attendance along with the original film’s scribe, Jeffrey Reddick, for a Q&A session. The screening will also serve as a tribute to the film’s director, David R. Ellis, who passed away in January. Fans will also have a chance to answer trivia questions and win some prizes.

The New Beverly Cinema hosts a recurring Midnight Movie that’s become a favorite of genre fans. The theater is located at 7165 West Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, one block west of La Brea. The screening of Final Destination 2 will be hosted by Brian Collins. For more info visit the New Beverly Cinema website or check out Horror Movie a Day.

I had an absolute blast watching this one with a packed house. Here’s hoping Evil Dead evokes the same kind of exuberant reaction!

  • The Woman In Black

Love that artwork! The second is definitely my favorite of the series. Wish we lived a little closer so we could join the fun.

The first and the last one made are my top two in the series, 2 is better than 3 with 4 being better than both imo (cause the 3D rocks fuckin’ balls) =) this screening would be fun, it’s a shame more stuff like this doesn’t go on over here in Oregon

Definitely the best in the series. I remember being quite marked by it upon first viewing too!
