Paul W.S. Anderson and Mila Jovovich Officially Sign on for Resident Evil 6It has been officially confirmed by First Showing that Paul W.S. Anderson has signed on to direct the sixth Resident Evil film and star Mila Jovovich will be back and ready to slay the bad guys. The two are inseparable after all!

According to the site Anderson plans to start shooting Resident Evil 6 this fall. The Mr X visual effects house, who was responsible for all the movie magic you saw in the most recent sequel along with the other sequels Apocalypse and Afterlife, not to mention Anderson’s Three Musketeers, will return to do VFX work on the new project.

Sony Screen Gems has set a release date of September 12th, 2014, for the film. Look for more details as they become available.
