No words can accurately describe how much we love creative movie fans. This “Sweded” recreation of the official trailer for the upcoming Guillermo del Toro monster mash Pacific Rim brought a huge smile to our faces so we figured we’d share!
For those unfamiliar with the term “Sweded”:
The summarized recreation of popular pop-culture films using limited budgets and a camcorder. The process is called Sweding. Upon completion the film has been Sweded. The term was originated in the Michel Gondry film BE KIND REWIND, in which the character Jerry accidentally erases the videotapes at Mos Def’s rental store, and the pair remake all the movies themselves. These versions become popular with customers, who are told they take longer to arrive and cost more because they come from Sweden. Hence, the films are referred to as ‘Sweded’.”
Look for Pacific Rim in theatres July 12th of 2013. Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., and Diego Klattenhoff star.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.
