The Call Finally Gets a Rating

Man, talk about bringing it down to the wire! The MPAA has finally weighed in with a verdict for the upcoming flick The Call. It has been rated “R” for violence, disturbing content, and some language. Hooray!

The Call stars Halle Berry, Michael Eklund, Justina Machado, Abigail Breslin, Tara Platt, Evie Thompson, David Otunga, Michael Imperioli, Morris Chestnut, and Michael Linstroth. WWE co-finances and produces alongside Troika Pictures. Brad Anderson directs; Rich D’Ovidio wrote the script, which is based on an original story by Nicole D’Ovidio, Jon Bokencamp, and the scribe.

Synopsis
When veteran 911 operator Jordan (Halle Berry) takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) who has just been abducted, she realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl’s life.
