NBC’s “The Sixth Gun” has found its female lead in Laura Ramsey, who has snagged the role of farmer’s daughter Becky Montcrief. Read on for details and to figure out if this is something you’d like to set your sights on.

Ryan Condal wrote the script and will executive produce with Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “Bates Motel”) as well as Eric Gitter and Andy Bourne of Oni Press’s sister company, film/TV producer Closed on Mondays Entertainment. Jeffrey Reiner (“Awake”) will direct the pilot. He has deep ties with NBC and Uni TV. He was director/exec producer on “Friday Night Lights” and also directed the pilots for the NBC series “Trauma” and “The Event,” which he executive produced.

The Sixth Gun Volume #1 Synopsis:
During the darkest days of the Civil War, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. The Sixth Gun – the most dangerous of the weapons – vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl (Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Villains thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing anyone in their path. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunslinger with a shadowy past, stands in their way.
