Javier Bardem Looking to Climb Stephen King's Dark Tower
It's great to see a Stephen King property getting so much attention in tinsel town! There's no doubt Ron Howard's adaptation of King's epic horror/fantasy/western series Dark Tower is on everyone's lips, and the list of potential stars is growing faster than anyone could have expected!
According to The New York Post, in addition to names like Daniel Craig, Hugh Jackman, Jon Hamm, and Viggo Mortensen, you can also add Javier Bardem to the list of folks being looked at to play the tale's lead character, Roland Deschain.
Who's gonna nab the top line? Expect to find out soon!
Look for more on The Dark Tower as we get it!

I'm hoping for either Viggo or Hugh Jackman.

Oh dear GOD no. Couldn't be more wrong. King based Roland on Eastwood. Those other cats have a -little- Eastwood in them. Mortensen is pretty much ideal when it comes to age, body type, and acting range. (Jackman doesn't have the acting chops, Hamm isn't the right type.) Bardem? Wrong, well, everything.
