The Hollywood Reporter
Relax, kids, the Winchesters are not heading to the big screen (although that would be kind of cool as long as it doesn’t have any Sam flashbacks about having coffee or petting dogs). We’re talking about a new as of yet untitled project that Universal has locked up the rights to.
According to THR, the studio has picked up an untitled young-adult book series proposal from fantasy author Julie Kagawa with Chris Morgan attached to produce. The supernatural story is set in a present-day coastal town where mythical creatures hide amongst us cloaked as humans. Slayers belonging to an order that dates back to St. George infiltrate the town disguised as out-of-town kids, setting up a confrontation and, as is the case with most YA books, a love triangle.
There always has to be a friggin’ love triangle. More on this one soon.
