Some really good news coming in that we’re praying comes to fruition. It looks as if Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Thirst) is just about ready to make his first American film.

According to the LA Times Park (pictured below) is in talks to direct Stoker, a dramatic thriller about a young woman whose eccentric uncle comes back into her life after the death of her father, for Fox Searchlight.

Stoker is the first film from “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller as a screenwriter. In the flick Carey Mulligan is playing the young woman, and Jodie Foster is co-starring. (The uncle part has yet to be cast, but it’s likely to be a boldfaced name, too, according to sources.)

Look for more soon!
