Two New Irresistible TV Spots for Warm Bodies

Post Thumb:

Two more TV spots have arrived for Warm Bodies to accompany the “Hoodie” ad we posted the other day. Check out “So Alive” and “Irresistible,” and be sure to read our interview with Nicholas Hoult, the film’s star, in case you missed it earlier today.

Starring Nicholas Hoult, Rob Corddry, Teresa Palmer, and John Malkovich, Warm Bodies follows an existentially tormented zombie named “R” (Hoult) who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims (Palmer). It’s based on the book by Isaac Marion.

A funny new twist on a classic love story, Warm Bodies is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor) and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

Every time the commercial for this piece of shit begins, I frantically reach for the remote to change the channel as fast as humanly possible. Warm Bodies symbolizes the very antithesis of everything I want to see in a motion picture. It is nothing more than teen and preteen drivel trying to capitalize off the new zombie genre popularity.

I know this will receive DC coverage, just like Twilight, since technically it skirts the very out limits of the genre, but it’s as much horror related as an episode of Scooby Doo staring Sonny and Cher written by Judy Bloom.

    Fuck this movie.
