The Walking Dead Shamble on TONIGHT! Season One Preview!

Dead day is here! We're just hours away from the premiere of Frank Darabont's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead", and to get you geared up, AMC has just released a Season One video preview! Dig it!

"The Walking Dead" tells the story of life following a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure home. Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, Teachers, Strike Back) portrays the lead role of Rick Grimes while actor Jon Bernthal (The Pacific, The Ghost Writer) portrays the character Shane, who worked with Rick in the police department before the zombie disaster. Other cast members include Laurie Holden ("The Shield"), who plays Andrea, one of two sisters who join the survivors of the zombie plague, Steven Yeun as Glenn, an expert scavenger, and Sarah Wayne Callies ("Prison Break"), who plays Rick's wife, Lori.

Frank Darabont is the project's writer, director of the pilot, and exec producer with Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert also exec producing. KNB is handling the effects.

"The Walking Dead" will premiere on Halloween night, Sunday, October 31st, at 10/9c! To stay up-to-the-minute on all things walker related, follow @WalkingDead_AMC on Twitter and visit "The Walking Dead" on Facebook.

This was absolutely excellent from minute one. I can't wait to see this progress on TV. So glad Kirkman's series was done justice.

I liked it quite a bit. The setup was nicely done (though slightly derivative of 28 Days Later), the characters are interesting and I have to say for a show on basic cable, it had some pretty nice gruesome moments. I'm interested to see where it goes next.

What a waste of my time..it was both boring and had that been there seen that feel to it..nothing really new.bad acting lousy cgi blood fx and a completely stupid storyline i mean you can pretty much predict what will come next.Even the little gore they did show was very uninspired and felt like ahh seen it before.i predict this series will pass away after the first season is over
