Upcoming Guest Stars on The Vampire Diaries

Regular viewers of “The Vampires Diaries” are aware of how quickly things are happening this season, and it looks like we’re in for even more mayhem as the November Sweeps approach. Three new guest stars have been announced for the “Rose” and “Katerina” episodes (Nos. 8 and 9, respectively), one of whom should be very familiar to those of us who are also fans of “Supernatural”.
Lauren Cohan (Bela on “Supernatural”, pictured right) is joining Trent Ford (“Smallville”, The Island) and Daniel Gillies (“True Blood”, “Masters of Horror”) according to The Ausiello Files on EW.com for these episodes, portraying the titular Rose. Trent and Daniel will be playing centuries-old vampires Trevor and Elijah. According to “TVD” Executive Producer Julie Plec, “They have deep ties to Katerina Petrova.”
Episode 8 “Rose” Synopsis (11/4/10 Air Date):
Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) come to Elena’s assistance and, in the process, learn surprising new information about people, vampires and events in the distant past. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Bonnie (Katerina Graham) after she casts a difficult and exhausting spell, and Caroline (Candice Accola) does what she can to make things easier for Tyler (Michael Trevino). Finally, Stefan and Damon reach a new understanding. Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Brian Young.
Episode 9 “Katerina” Synopsis (11/11/10 Air Date):
Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev) past is finally revealed when Elena (also played by Nina Dobrev) puts herself in a dangerous position as she searches for the truth about what her own future may hold.
