What better way is there to kick off the new year than by winning a pair of tickets to the New York City screening of John Dies at the End, which will be followed immediately by a Q&A featuring legendary director Don Coscarelli and brilliant actor Paul Giamatti?
The screening will be held on January 7th at 7:30 p.m. (audience members are asked to arrive 15 minutes early) at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema (143 Houston St., NY, NY). And if you’re interested in going for free, dig this: The first five Dread Central readers to send an E-MAIL HERE with your name and Dread Central in the subject line will receive a pair of passes to this very cool event.
In John Dies at the End, it’s all about the Soy Sauce, a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. Users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is under way, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John (Rob Mayes) and David (Chase Williamson), a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t. Adapted from David Wong’s audacious trans-genre horror novel, John Dies at the End is written and directed by Don Coscarelli (Bubba Ho-Tep) and also stars Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman and Paul Giamatti.
