Terror has found a new home. Northern Idaho? Seems so, at least according to the makers of the new survival horror flick The Mooring that Lionsgate will be putting out on DVD this coming February.

Every 40 seconds, a person goes missing. In northern Idaho, a group of teenage girls attend a summer camp to help them connect with nature – without technology. They’re told it will be a summer of change. When the girls’ houseboat is suddenly stranded in the middle of a river, an odd couple comes to their aid. But what’s supposed to be an act of kindness turns deadly and the girls find themselves on the run, pursued through the forest by a brutal, determined killer.

Karli Blalock, Larissa Hayden, Lilli Hendrickson, and Erin McIntosh are amongst the newcomers being hunted by “Little Russell” from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (actor Thomas Wilson Brown), now all grown up and hunting nubile young women for kicks. “Lizzie McGuire” mom Hallie Todd co-stars and also co-wrote the script with her husband Glenn and daughter Ivy.

Lionsgate is set to release the gritty kill-or-be-killed tale The Mooring on DVD February 19th.

Judging by the trailer below, it almost looks like something that could be released to DVD as a mockbuster of the upcoming similarly themed Black Rock.
