We feel as if we’ve been talking about the sequel to The Haunting in Connecticut for a long while now. It’s been a couple of years at least. Still, the time has come for your first look courtesy of Yahoo! Movies, and we even have a release date for you!

Look for The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia (formerly The Haunting in Georgia), directed by Tom Elkins, to be getting a limited theatrical release along with a wide VOD release on February 1, 2013. Emily Alyn Lind, Chad Michael Murray, Abigail Spencer, Katee Sackhoff and Cicely Tyson star.

Synopsis
From the producers of The Haunting in Connecticut comes the chilling true story of the Wyrick family. When Andy Wyrick moves his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Heidi, to an historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house’s only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa’s free-spirited sister, Joyce, the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire… a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.
