Ric Roman Waugh is definitely a hot property these days. Along with Snitch, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jon Bernthal of “The Walking Dead,” coming in February, he just signed on to helm and rewrite Relativity’s Tipping Point.
Per Variety, Tipping Point, based on a script by Todd Stein, is set in a world 100 years into the future where the penalty for having children without a license is death. The story centers on an officer who lives for his job until the day he discovers two fugitives he’s been pursuing are the love of his life, who mysteriously disappeared years ago, and the 12-year-old son he never knew he had.
The film’s producers are Temple Hill Entertainment’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey along with Relativity Media topper Ryan Kavanaugh and Industry Entertainment’s Andrew Deane. Relativity president Tucker Tooley and Industry Entertainment’s Jess Rosenthal executive produce.
