Slow-building suspense/horror film Day Job is set to screen at SF IndieFest’s Another Hole in the Head Film Festival at the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco, on Friday, November 30th, at 11 pm. Interested? Then read on for the details!

Written and directed by SF Bay Area artist, veteran cable repairman, and first-time filmmaker Dave O’Shea, Day Job is a uniquely intense horror film/character study about a lonely, substance-abusing cable man who becomes obsessed with an unhappily married young woman he meets while working in her home.

A difficult film to describe, Day Job is equal parts dark, character-driven drama, black comedy, suspenseful murder-mystery, and deeply depraved horror film rolled into one.. It simply must be experienced to be fully understood. After viewing it, you may never feel safe in your own home again.

O’Shea tells us, “It’s strange, creepy, unapologetically mean-spirited, and seems to have quite an impact on the viewer. Incredibly, it won “Best Exploitation Film” and the coveted “Best Use of Violence/Gore” at last month’s Pollygrind Underground Film Festival in Las Vegas, too!

Synopsis:
After working in her home, a mysterious blue-collar worker with a dark past becomes obsessed with an unhappily married woman (Vanessa Guajardo). He and his roommate (veteran theater actor/former owner and mastermind of the infamous Ciao Bella Italian Restaurant in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Tad Matthew Morgan) set out to eliminate anything and anyone that would stand in the way of winning her affection.
