Two more familiar faces are joining the cast of Lifetime’s pilot “Witches of East End,” and we have the scoop on whom they belong to. Read on for the details.

THR reports that both “Twin Peaks” alum Madchen Amick and Mr. Holland’s Opus co-star Glenne Headly have joined the drama pilot based on Melissa de la Cruz’s best-selling novel. Maggie Friedman, who shepherded ABC’s witch-themed “Eastwick,” wrote and will executive produce “Witches of East End” with Erwin Stoff for Fox 21 and 3 Arts.

Rachel Boston plays Ingrid Beauchamp, who is described as “cautious, quirky, smart, and unaware of how beautiful she is.” When the pilot begins, Ingrid and her wild younger sister, Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum), don’t know that they’ve been witches since birth. They lead uneventful lives in a quiet secluded Long Island town of North Hampton, but when Freya becomes engaged to newcomer Dash Gardiner (Patrick Heusinger), a series of events prompt their mother, Joanna (Julia Ormond), to admit that her daughters are both powerful and immortal witches.

Amick will guest star as Wendy, Joanna’s sister, who is described as being a beautiful and funny witch who takes the form of a cat — complete with nine lives. Headly — who recently booked a guest turn on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” — will play Dash and Killian Gardiner’s (Daniel Ditomasso) mother, Penelope.

Two More Cast Additions to Lifetime's Witches of East End - Madchen Amick and Glenne Headly

Novel Synopsis:
The three Beauchamp women–Joanna and her daughters, Freya and Ingrid–live in North Hampton, out on the tip of Long Island. Their beautiful, mist-shrouded town seems almost stuck in time, and all three women lead seemingly quiet, uneventful existences. But they are harboring a mighty secret–they are powerful witches banned from using their magic. Joanna can resurrect people from the dead and heal the most serious of injuries. Ingrid, her bookish daughter, has the ability to predict the future and weave knots that can solve anything from infertility to infidelity. And finally, there’s Freya, the wild child, who has a charm or a potion that can cure most any heartache.

For centuries all three women have been forced to suppress their abilities. But then Freya, who is about to get married, finds that her increasingly complicated romantic life makes it more difficult than ever to hide her secret. Soon Ingrid and Joanna confront similar dilemmas, and the Beauchamp women realize they can no longer conceal their true selves. They unearth their wands from the attic, dust off their broomsticks, and begin casting spells on the townspeople. It all seems like a bit of good-natured, innocent magic, but then mysterious, violent attacks begin to plague the town. When a young girl disappears over the Fourth of July weekend, they realize it’s time to uncover who and what dark forces are working against them.
