It was all the way back in April when we told you that the Paranormal Activity franchise would be getting a Latino cousin, and now more information regarding this twist to things has come forth!
According to Bloody Disgusting, Paramount Pictures is planning something special for the October 19th release of Paranormal Activity 4. Fans who stay post-credits will be treated to a short clip teasing the 2013 release of the studio’s unnamed Latino Paranormal Activity spinoff. They also go on to state that this has not been confirmed so take it with a grain of salt for now.
Paranormal Activity 2 and 3 writer Christopher Landon will write and direct the project, described by sources as a “cousin” to the Paranormal movies but not a sequel or reboot. The real kicker is that the movie will be Latino-themed. It will star a Latino cast and tackle Catholic-based paranormal mythology. It will not, however, be in Spanish.
BRING BACK MARTINE!!!!!!
Paranormal Activity 4, from creator/producer Oren Peli, utilizes modern technology as it follows a family that lives across the street from a group of witches. Catfish duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who helmed the third film, direct once again.
