You never know what you’re going to find when you poke around the Internet. For instance, here’s some early teaser art for NBC’s “Hannibal” along with a bit of casting news as another one of Bryan Fuller’s former co-workers has signed on for the show.
TVLine reports that Ellen Greene (pictured; “Heroes,” Little Shop of Horrors), who appeared in Fuller’s “Pushing Daisies,” is reuniting with the show’s creator for “Hannibal.” Greene will appear in the recurring role of Mrs. Komeda, a novelist and member of Boston’s cultural elite. She’s also a pal of the titular cannibal, Dr. Lecter.
Mads Mikkelsen will play the psychiatrist-turned-serial killer “Hannibal” in the 13-episode dramatic take from “Pushing Daisies” creator Bryan Fuller. Caroline Dhavernas (another Fuller alum from “Wonderfalls”) also stars as Dr. Alana “Al” Bloom, a psychiatric protege of Hannibal Lecter who teaches psychology at Georgetown University and is consulting with the FBI on criminal profiling when she introduces her mentor to Laurence Fishburne’s Jack Crawford. Lara Jean Chorostecki plays Freddie Lounds, a sleazy tabloid reporter, and Hugh Dancy plays everyone’s favorite criminal profiler, Will Graham.
Scott Thompson (“The Kids in the Hall”), Hettienne Park (Young Adult), Chelan Simmons (“Wonderfalls”), and Aaron Abrams (“L.A. Complex”) also star.
