Dark Horse Comics is taking its adaptation of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s The Strain vampire trilogy to the next level with an animated video version of it launching today on Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry YouTube channel. Check it out right here!
Synopsis:
When a Boeing 777 lands at JFK International Airport and goes dark on the runway, the Center for Disease Control, fearing a terrorist attack, calls in Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his team of expert biological-threat first responders. Only an elderly pawnbroker from Spanish Harlem suspects a darker purpose behind the event–an ancient threat intent on covering mankind in darkness.
Based on the Dark Horse Comics series The Strain (more info here) from director Guillermo del Toro and novelist Chuck Hogan (Prince of Thieves). The executive producers for Dark Horse Motion Comics are Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible, Eureka), Kim Evey (The Guild, Dragon Age: Redemption), and Sheri Bryant (Rock Jocks).
