It Lives Again! Wins Silver Award at the Book of the Year Awards

It Lives Again! Horror Movies in the New MilleniumIt's always wonderful to see one of our own make good, or for that matter - great, and that's exactly the case here!

Axelle Carolyn wrote for us way back when (God, how we miss her), and now that she's an accomplished actor as well as author, it's with great pride that we announce her latest book on the genre, It Lives Again! Horror Movies in the New Millenium (review here), has just received some accolades of its own.

That's right, kids! The book just took home the Silver Award at this year's Book of the Year Awards in New York City.

"It's brilliant," says Axelle of winning the award. "Not only am I pleased for the book, but I'm also really excited that such an award could go to a book about horror movies. There's still this perception amongst mainstream critics that the genre doesn't deserve to be seriously analysed, and I think this award is a great way to prove them wrong."

Indeed. If you haven't already read the book, do yourself a favor and order a copy by clicking below or by hitting up the publisher's website, where you can get a signed copy by Axelle and Neil Marshall while supplies last!

Congrats, kiddo! Can't wait to see what you do next!
