With Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo approaching like a freight train this weekend in LA (September 15-16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center), it is our sworn duty to let you know of a couple of horror happenings at the show that we’ll be taking part in!

1:00 PM – Sunday, September 16th
Panel: Fangoria Presents – Future Shock: What’s Next in Horror? Come join a group of horror experts as they discuss the current shape of the horror movie industry as well as where the industry is heading. The group will touch on recent trends like torture films, zombies, found footage, and remakes. Additionally, they will discuss indie films and how the micro-budget filmmaker can get his or her project made and out there.

Panel: Fangoria Presents – From Scream Queens to Final Girls: Women are one of the most important and vital parts of the horror industry. In this panel our guests will discuss the history of women in horror, how they themselves became involved in the horror industry, and how women are reshaping the genre. Additional topics will be gender issues in viewing, tastes, marketing, and reception.
