Alan Wake Builds the Thriller
It's hard to believe that after what was an impossibly long wait, Alan Wake, Remedy's latest video game spooker, will emerge May 18th in North America and May 21st in Europe. Yep. It's really happening. The game has gone gold, and we've got a new trailer to prove it!
Remedy describes Alan Wake as being “built like a chilling episodic TV series, where your wits and light are your only allies ... and will establish a new gaming genre - the gripping psychological action thriller.”
In Alan Wake you play, well, Alan Wake - a man who makes his living from the terror of others as a best-selling suspense novelist but hasn’t written anything in over two years. When his wife, Alice, brings him to the seemingly peaceful Bright Falls, Washington, to try to kill his writer’s block, she vanishes without a trace. Wake finds himself trapped in a nightmare-driven world, word by word from his latest work he doesn’t remember writing, unfolding before his eyes.
Not satisfied with just having the game? There's even a collector's edition on the way that features:
AND ... it’s only 80 bucks!
